Workers' Compensation
The attorneys of Barrickman, Allred & Young have many years of experience in working with employers as well as injured workers as it relates to industrial accidents and workers’ compensation claims. The firm has represented numerous widows in workers’ compensation death cases. One of the firm’s partners, Scott Young, has a Masters in Rehabilitation and worked with industrially injured individuals. Mr. Young has extensive experience in vocational rehabilitation, vocational testing and all aspects of vocational services. Mr. Young is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC-R) and was a registered provider with the State Board of Workers’ Compensation before becoming an attorney. The firm has maintained an active yet diverse workers’ compensation practice. As part of its workers’ compensation practice, the firm has advised clients on issues regarding the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Family Medical Leave Act, as well as drug testing and return to work programs. The firm has represented employers in Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) claims which arose out of workers’ compensation claims. Mr. Young has also acted as a consultant in developing company policy manuals.
